Growing in Grace is a tutoring service that believes the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God. While we lovingly accept students of any belief, we will not teach, encourage, or allow concepts contrary to the Bible.
Below are a list of expectations and rules that we feel will make for a welcoming and safe environment for your daughter. These rules are for her protection…
Basic Expectations
- be on time for class
- be well rested and ready for a good day
- each student will pursue her own education with diligence and perseverance
- it is your responsibility to connect with your teacher for further explanation or resources
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices
We have a NO cell phone policy. Cell phones are collected each morning, locked in a secure case, and returned at the end of each school day. If you need to get in touch with her anytime during the day please text our main number or one of her teachers. Seniors are allowed to keep their phones but are not allowed to have them out during the day. If your daughter has been caught with her phone she will be given warnings as well as the parent. Also, no electronic devices (tablets & laptops) are allowed. Our church has a private provider policy and no students are all access.
Inclement Weather
Growing in Grace will not meet due to inclement weather following Tate County school closings. However, since our class assignments are accessed online, class assignments for that day will be available online at the discretion of the teacher. As a result, we will not have make-up days in our calendar.
Dress Code
All students are expected to dress with modesty and self respect. All shirts/top must have sleeves. Classes take place in the house of the Lord and reverence through modesty is expected. T-shirts and jeans are recommended. Leggings are permitted if worn with a top that extends below the hips and completely covers the buttocks. This year we are not allowing shorts at all. Also, no crop tops or shirts that do not cover the shoulders, back or belly! Skirts and dresses are allowed as long as they are below the knee. However, if you are staying after class for sports (when offered) you can bring shorts to put on at the end of the day.
Clothing that is overtly sexual or overtly in opposition to your biological gender is not allowed on campus or any school sponsored events.
Parents will be notified immediately if student does not abide by these policies and asked to bring a change of clothes.
Conduct
All students are expected to treat instructors and one another with kindness and respect. Drama, gossip, inappropriate speech or profanity will not be tolerated.
Show love and respect to everyone.
Students are not allowed to sit in their cars during break or lunch time.
Students are not allowed to leave the building/campus during the day without permission.
Drugs, vaping and/or smoking is prohibited on campus, including the parking lot.
No animals are permitted on campus.
PDA is not allowed on campus.
Guests are not permitted except with pre-approval for a limited attendance.
Food is not allowed during class except for where it is applicable to the lesson.
Blankets may not be used during class. Bring a sweater or jacket and if you are a cold nature person, wear a sweatshirt!
We expect your daughter to attend class on time each week. If your student shall be tardy or absent, please provide notice as much ahead as possible by texting the main number. Students who will be absent for the sake of vacation or travel should communicate this to all of their teachers and work ahead on their assignments as much as possible.
Educational Responsibility
It is our belief that students who want to do well educationally, will prioritize to achieve this. It is expected that each student will pursue her own education with diligence and perseverance. If you are having difficulties with any subject, it is your responsibility to connect with your teacher for further explanation or resources. After school tutoring is available.

2 weeks late 70%
(assignment closes after 2 weeks, unless parent asked to be re-opened)
Lunch, Food and Beverages
Each student is expected to provide their own lunch each week. A concession stand is available, including a hot meal option at additional cost. No alcoholic beverages or controlled substances are allowed on campus.
I submit that I have read the above policies and will agree to abide by each. I understand that failure to comply can result in disciplinary action up to and including campus removal and that I will be held to complete my studies at home until such time as I earn a return to campus. My return to campus can be earned by contacting my counselor and discussing required steps.
